autumn updates // palestine flash // halloween flash // rate, deposit, & payment updates // in loving memory of Donut

Hey folks~~~

Welcome to the new format of my infrequent newsletter: my blog. This makes it easier for everyone to see news and updates I’ve shared along the way, without spending more time on Instagram. :)

A lot has happened since my last update in August, but the biggest life event (and the reason why it’s taken me so long to write a new post) was the passing of my cat, Donut. She was my first cat and I lost her to cancer in September after being blessed with 13 years of companionship. Luckily, I was able to send her off peacefully, surrounded by family, after a final meal of popcorn chicken from iTea.

Miss you, Do-Do.

In early October, my coworkers and I ran a fundraiser in partnership with Hibr Falastin to support aid efforts in Gaza, Palestine. We each designed our own Palestine-inspired flash sheets and donated all the proceeds from the tattoos to the cause. It was a huge success and a joy to meet so many caring souls who were able to support the effort. Thank you to my clients for helping me raise $2,410 for Palestinians in need!

As Halloween season came and went, I released this spooky flash sheet inspired by dark, shadowy, twisted vibes.

Here’s how they’ve been turning out! There was a clear favorite…

The final thing I wanted to share an update on is my pricing structure, deposits, and accepted payment methods:

  • All custom tattoo work will be charged at $275/hr. For extra-large multi-session tattoos, I’m still happy to offer a special rate based on the project’s size.

  • Flash (pre-drawn) tattoos will be charged at $225/hr. Having trouble coming up with your own design ideas? No problem. I’ll be making more in the future and I’ll share them via blog and on my website when they become ready. An extra bonus is that you may run into someone in the wild with the same tattoo as you!

  • Booking deposits are now 30% of the estimated tattoo cost and payment is taken during the online booking process.

  • I now accept credit and debit cards, Tap to Pay, and even interest-free installments via Afterpay. No more depending on cash, Venmo, or Zelle (unless you want to).

That’s all for this update. Thanks for making it this far and for following my work.

Until next time,

Jazz
